Hangout 20 June 2019
(This was a truncated meeting due to low participation.)
New Things
- jtl@ suggests that Linux may have defaults that are tuned for better performance than the FreeBSD defaults. This may impact naive performance tests.
- tuexen@ suggests that there could be great benefit from developing a tuning guide which tells you how to tune for performance, security, etc.
tuexen@ talks about a syzkaller-found bug. jtl@ recognizes it as something he fixed in r338986. It looks like the fix never made it to head. jtl@ will follow up with gordon@ about that.
- jtl@ briefly discussed the recent security advisory related to SACK handling.
Next Meeting
Scheduled for 4 July, 14:00 UTC. (However, note that most US-based participants will probably skip this meeting as it falls on a US public holiday.)
