FreeBSD Ports and Packaging Teams
These are the teams within FreeBSD that maintain specific collections of Ports and their resulting binary packages as a group.
Teams can be oriented by functional categories (like Multimedia), specific languages (like Python), stacks (Apache), or other themes (like Emulation).
Everyone can contribute to and join a team, members are not limited to those with commit access.
While no explicit or specific maintainer policy exists for the group/team as maintainer case, changes should be submitted to teams for their review/acceptance in the same manner as ports with individual maintainers. In some but not all cases, the team email or mailing-list address is set as the MAINTAINER of ports under their care.
