AMD USB4/TBT Notes
Contents
Introduction
For whatever reason it seems that AMD is not making enough buzz, compared to Intel, over their support for USB4 and Thunderbolt when it comes to their:
- Processors
- Chipsets
Motherboards, Desktops and Laptops made by other vendors (ASUS, GIGBYTE, Framework, etc) using their chips
Let alone that the info out there might be either not clear or even confusing at times specially when it comes to whether the support is implemented via:
- Integrated controllers
- Discrete controllers
This is an effort to collect all the info I come across for later reference either for myself or others, and I hope I succeed in putting it in a way that is less confusing.
