Notes
ctf/debugging
- Create wrappers around cc and ld to run ctfconvert and ctfmerge, so they don't need to be called after. This should get ctf data for ports.
- Look at mdb (porting)
- Look at adding support to print ine numbers in ddb.
- libdwarf and libctf will continue to live together until a decision about which to go w/, and address the fact that in kernel dwarf is too large.
- It would be good to unify backtrace format between arches in ddb.
- The usual debugging over USB or ethernet, just needs to be done.
- Talked briefly about using libctf for ABI interface between kernel and userland. This may be Daniel Lovasko's GSoC this year.
- There is large amounts of improvements to be made to bhyve gdb, such as stopping cpus while waiting for commands, and sending complete gdb commands instead of a character at a time.
