FreeBSD Developer Summit
meetBSD California, November 17 - 18, 2008
There was an invitation-only FreeBSD Developer Summit after the meetBSD California conference in Mountain View on November 17 - 18, 2008. The event was held at the Googleplex from 10am - 5pm each day. Lunch was provided. Parking was free.
We had over 30 attendees from Yahoo, NetApp, Isilon, QLogic, Huawei, Google, Juniper, Cisco, Facebook, and other technology companies using or looking at using FreeBSD. There were formal presentations on the first day. Here is a picture of the unstructured hacking during the second day.
Logistics
** REGISTERED GUESTS WILL RECEIVE BUILDING INFORMATION PRIVATELY AS THIS IS INVITATION-ONLY EVENT **
Mountain View, California is approximately 45 minutes south of San Francisco by train (http://www.caltrain.com). The nearest airport is San Jose International (SJC), but there are better rail connections with San Francisco International (SFO) which is only slightly further away. Oakland Airport (OAK) is also an option but is 2-3 hours away by train (BART then caltrain) or 1 hour and $100+ by taxi.
If you would like to attend and are a FreeBSD.org committer or guest of a committer please register in the table below. If you would like to lead a discussion or give a more formal presentation on Monday please list your topic and scheduling preferences in the Notes field.
You can enter two addresses or points of interest and find the best route on public transit in the Bay Area with the Bay Area Trip Planner or Google Transit.
